I breed African Cichlids and mainly sell fry but am now offering the opportunity to buy sexed colonies of good quality breeding stock.

Melanochromis Chipokae
A nice young breeding colony, looks like about 4-5 males and 5-6 females. These fish can breed early. Sizes are about 80-120mm. A great cichlid where both males and females have good colours, it's also quite a rare fish, so they are very worthwhile to breed. Fry are colourful already at 20-30mm.
$135 for the 10.
One mouthful from a female is often around 30-40 fry that sell for about $8ea. First lot of fry can repay the colony two times over!

Chimoto Red (Protomelas sp. "Steveni Taiwan")
A rarer and very stunning fish. 2 males and 4 females at about 70-100mm. Just started breeding, so plenty left in them......... $120 for the 6. A bargain for breeding Chimoto Reds!
The very few shops that I occasionally saw had them were charging $35ea for 40mm ones.

Dragons Blood/Albino Dragons Bloods Peacocks
Great quality. 2 males and 4 females. Mixed, great breeding ratio colony that throws both Albino and regular fry! About 60-100mm. Already breeding well.......... $110 for the 6.

OB/Marbled Peacocks
1 male and 5 females. Sizes are about 70-100mm. Peacocks are interesting, great looking, very popular fish that are quite hardy and easy to breed. $90 for the 6.

Elongatus Mpanga
Great quality Mpanga, most likely 3-4 males and 6-7 females. Good size colony of 10. These fish breed early so they are at a good size at about 50-80mm. A stunning and very popular fish as both males and females have nice colours. Breeding.......... $120 for the 10.

Labidochromis Hongi
About 3-4 males and 6-7 females. Sizes are about 60-100mm. A great looking and very popular fish. Hongis are quite hardy and easy to breed. $110 for the 10.

Lombardoi
Looks like 3 males and 7 females. Sizes are about 60-90mm. A great looking and popular fish. Lombardoi are quite hardy and easy to breed. All Lombardoi have the female blue stripe colours when young, then the males gradually turn bright yellow at around 70mm. The fry are good sellers as they have stunning colours even at 30mm. $110 for the 10.

Black Bar Red Top Zebra
Not that many of these around now. Looks like around 4 males and 8 females. Young colony that has just started breeding. Sizes are about 50-80mm. A nice looking fish that is quite hardy and breed well. $140 for the 12.

Please bring your own container/bucket for transport.
Please note that I’m not like a fish shop as I always have the fish caught and ready for pick-up when the buyer arrives. It takes a while to get rocks etc out and then catch fish in different tanks so it’s best for all parties to have this done before people arrive. I also breed some fish that are very skittish and difficult, hence disturbances must be kept to a minimum. I supply some of the better aquarium shops in South East Queensland, so my fish are great quality and coloration.
The fish will be caught and waiting for you in a container with an air stone and Seachem Stressguard. All ready for pick up and a safe journey to a new home when you arrive at the agreed time.
